I’ve been told my grandfather was a member of the Lobster Club. I’m trying to track down if that is true. His name was John Riggs. He was born in 1910 so I’m guessing he was a member around 1930 or so??? Do you have any records that far back? Thanks,
My father, Richard Myers, was President of the Lobster Club for many, many, years. He, my Mom and my Aunts & Uncles, are pictured in the opening of the video. He took the club up Broad Street for a couple of years back in the 60’s.
It’s nice to see that the Myers family can still lead the lobsters in the parade.

That guy that you talk about in the clip that said: ” yous look like a bunch of lobsters” was my great-grandfather, Reddy Carey! So glad the club has returned to the parade. I’ll be watching for dem golden slippers tomorrow! Happy New year’s!
My neighbors, Bill Graham and Bill Wallace were members and officers in the early 70’s.
They recruited me one year and we were Geishas On Review.
Would have been around 71, 72 or 73.
Would anybody have photos from then?
