I was in the mummers parade in approximately 1958 and 1959 with the then Palmyra string band which is no longer in existence. I left nj at age 18 and traveled the world for 30 years in the usmc. Im now settled in the florida keys, but every now and then i can view the mummers parade on tv or streaming. It brings back many memories, especial the year my saxophone froze up from saliva and men were pouring wiskey in it to melt the ice, lol. So, therevi was a 15 or 16 year old marching down broad st. And by the time we reached city hall i was smashed. Good luck to all of you.
born and raised in Philadelphia- moved to New England in 1972 but you always love the mummers
