Advent (Mummers Mardi Gras promoters) are putting the finishing touches on the event’s organization. Mummers Mardi Gras is set for a February 22 celebration; parading from 10 am until noon. If the city is faced with inclement weather, the rain date is Saturday, February 28 at the same time.

Enjoy face painting experiences, pictures with the string bands, silent auctions, raffles, discounts, and awards throughout the day.

Event Details
10am-Noon:
Philadelphia Mummers Mardi Gras Parade in Manayunk. Watch as Mummers String Bands strut down Main Street from Shurs to Green Lane.

Noon-2pm:
String Band performances in select retail and restaurant establishments until 2pm.

2pm-4pm:
Restaurants and retailers host different string bands as their “clubhouse” for the day.

Mummers Mardi Gras bracelets will be $10.00 and ALL proceeds will be going to the Philadelphia String Band Association to maintain their elaborate costumes and pageantry. The bracelets will provide an exclusive discount at participating restaurants and retail locations. Bracelets, as well as hats and pins will be available at the parade. 100% of the proceeds from “I AM A MUMMER” merchandise go directly to the Philadelphia String Band Association.
