The Philadelphia String Band Association announced today the sudden passing of Teddy Kudrick, Captain of the Duffy String Band.
It is with great sadness that we share the sudden passing of Teddy Kudrick, Captain of the Duffy String Band. While we all feel as though we march with our families throughout the year, for Teddy this was literally true as he shared the street with his wife Colleen, daughter Kathryn, and co-captain and son Jake.
Teddy was the “Dean” of String Band Captains as the longest continuous active string band captain, as well as being inducted into the PMSBA Hall of Fame in 2005.
Our prayers and thoughts go out to Colleen and their children as well as the rest of the Duffy String Band family. Teddy was one of the good guys and we will miss him. “We’ll meet again. Don’t know where, don’t know when. But I know we’ll meet again, some sunny day”
Teddy, You were too young to leave this world. Our friend you will be missed.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the kudrick family teddy was an awesome crew member to work with on tugboats you could be seen teddy from a mile away from his smile he carried. Rip my friend
Thanks for the memories
