I put together some pages with the current available information about the 2018 Mummers Parade. The guide is meant to give you an early look at the 2018 Mummers Parade. I’m updating this page frequently with new information as we get closer to New Years Day.

How To Watch the Mummers Parade?

The parade will be televised on PHL17 in the Philadelphia area. Outside of the Philadelphia area the parade will be streamed live online.

The Independence Visitor Center is the exclusive location to purchase bleacher seating for the outdoor portion of the Mummers Parade.

Keep in mind, the Mummers Parade is free for all other locations. Bleacher tickets cost $20

MummersFest

Four four-days straight, visitors are invited into the Pennsylvania Convention Center for MummersFest, an interactive, all-ages festival. Attendees can partake in crafting, try on authentic Mummers costumes, enjoy prime photo ops and watch the clubs rehearse their routines in lead up to New Year’s Day. Admission is $4 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

Hotels Near The 2018 Mummers Parade Route

Getting to the Parade

Many roads around the parade route will be closed on New Year’s Day, so the best option to get to the parade is to take SEPTA into the city. On New Year’s Day, buses, trains, and trolleys will operate on a Sunday Schedule.

NJ Transit Schedule: On New Year’s Day, Monday, January 1, after 5 a.m., trains will operate on a weekend/major holiday schedule. Bus service will vary by route. River LINE will operate on a Sunday schedule. Newark Light Rail will operate on a Sunday schedule. Hudson-Bergen Light Rail will operate on a weekend schedule. Bus service will vary by route. Customers are advised to visit njtransit.com for details.

Staying Warm and Using the Bathroom

There will be port-a-potties along the parade route, but a great place to get warm and use the bathroom is at the Kimmel Center. The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts opens its doors for the 13th consecutive year for its annual FREE New Year’s Day Celebration. The campus will be alive with holiday sights and sounds as patrons are invited to warm up indoors to enjoy panoramic views of the Mummers Parade, performances, and activities from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The Kimmel Center is located at: 300 S Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19102

Where to Eat?

There will be Food trucks, and other attractions at the Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts, located at 901 S. Broad Street. Also, the Wawa at 201 Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107 will be open for a quick bite to eat. Many of the local restaurants and bars around the parade route will be open on New Years Day. Unfortunately, the Reading Terminal Market is CLOSED on New Year’s Day.

Regarding getting into Philly the day of the parade do you know if nj transit will be still running? Trying to figure out the best way to get into the city

Why isn’t the mummers parade televised in Florida (Brevard County Florida area??)

Because it’s only being televised locally in the Philadelphia area. The rest of the world can watch the 2018 mummers parade via the web stream.

Are there any plans for any brigades to keep going past washington ave? Do you know where I can get the 2 street schedule? Is this like privy information or something lol. I can not seem to find info anywhere and as a native of Broad and Tasker I really hope some will march on!

I would also, like to know more about the live streaming option,
although I will not need it, as a resident of Lancaster County, PA,
It will be broadcast on TV, ( Blue Ridge Cable ), if it is like the years past.
I am guessing that my Amazon Fire TV, has some streaming options, too.
I just do not know how to access them.

I want to get my mom on the bleachers right around the tv announcers .What would I have to do to get a seat there
